LIBA focuses strongly on research and consultancy. Faculty and students are encouraged to undertake consultancy projects for corporates. These are strategic partnerships with corporates and non-profit organisations including educational institutions.

Some of the areas in which research is regularly carried out are cross - cultural management, leadership, ethics, supply chain management and social entrepreneurship.
