Faculty Seminar Series #11

The eleventh session of the Faculty Seminar Series (FSS-11) was held at LIBA on 14th March 2025. Dr. Deepa Ittimani Tholath began the session with a silent prayer, followed by Dr. S. Uma Priyadharshini’s presentation on “Empowering Rural Women in the Digital Economy: Assessing Financial Literacy and Inclusion Barriers – A Case Study Approach.” The seminar examined the link between financial literacy and inclusion among rural women, highlighting challenges such as digital transformation, socio-cultural barriers, and limited access to financial services. Faculty members recommended refining the research focus, incorporating the UNDESA report and Social Determinism Theory, adopting a mixed-method approach, and strengthening the literature review.
