BEACON 2025
Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA) organized its flagship event, the Annual Business Ethics Conference, BEACON on 28th February 2025, at Dr. Xavier Britto Auditorium, LIBA. The theme for this year’s conference was “Ethical AI: Challenges and Opportunities” which featured thought-provoking discussions. Rev. Fr. C Joe Arun, Director-LIBA set the tone for the event with his insightful address where he mentioned that Ethics is not just being right but empowering the vulnerable. Rev. Dr. Antony Robinson, SJ, Rector of Loyola College Institutions, explained how AI will transform human life in all the major industries and also highlighted some serious challenges that it possesses. The distinguished speakers, Mr. Pamit D Anand, AI & Product Leadership Executive, who cautioned us on the technological turmoil on the horizon, threw light on Prompt Engineering and Jailbreaking, and Humans In The Loop (HITL) by giving an example of how now AI is prompt-engineered to not answer unethical questions from the users. Mr. Karthik Kannan, Product Management Professional, Bengaluru, explored AI’s evolution, discussing topics around prompt engineering and highlighting issues like dynamic pricing.
