Counselling skills
The students of Executive Diploma in HRM as part of Skills of Attending(Listening) in their ‘’Counselling skills “ course visited an old age home in Chetpet and counselled the inmates. The experience was memorable with the Loyola’s motto of preparing men and women for others. This program was facilitated by Dr.A.Siluvairaja.

Preparing men and women for others
Had a memrable great experience in meeting the people at an old age home in harrington road, Chetpet. One day was not enough to meet them and talk with them…….it was an immense pleasure to be with them ……..i would try to meet them often…
It was a wonderful experience visiting the ‘Little Sisters of poor’. We not only got a chance to counsel them but also received a lot of valuable insights about life. I heartfully thank Dr. Siluvairaja and LIBA for providing such a wonderful oppurtunity.

The visit to old age home of the Little Sisters of the Poor was indeed a memorable experience for me. It was a great opportunity for us to meet and interact with the elderly people. They welcomed us with a big smile and blessings. It was overwhelming to hear some of their stories and glad that we were able to make them happy for few hours. We learnt so much from them on life insights. I thank Siluvairaja Sir and LIBA for giving us this great platform to visit the old age people.

Our visit to the old age home was a beautiful experience that enabled us to practice the skill of attending. Making conversations with the people there, listening to them talk about their lifestyle and more was personally, a very enriching experience for me.
