Faculty Seminar Series – 2
The second session of the Faculty Seminar Series (FSS-02) was held on 26th September 2024. Dr. Deepa Ittimani Tholath opened the seminar with a silent prayer, followed by Dr. K. Sethupathy’s presentation on “Exploring the Factors Influencing Green Entrepreneurship Among Northeast Entrepreneurs.” His research examined the drivers and barriers to green entrepreneurship in states like Assam, Meghalaya, and Nagaland, utilizing the Grey-Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) method to analyse cause-and-effect relationships and Grey Systems Theory to handle data uncertainty. The Delphi method helped narrow down 13 identified factors to 10 key drivers, including market demand for green products, government support, financial resources, and technological infrastructure. Faculty members offered constructive feedback, suggesting a deeper exploration of the limitations of the DEMATEL technique in ranking factors, which Dr. Sethupathy agreed to address for clearer, more actionable insights. The seminar emphasized the significance of green entrepreneurship in developing regions and how market forces, technology, and resources can foster sustainable business growth.
