Great Sales Debate #4
The Centre for Sales Excellence (CSE) and the Mark-IT Club of LIBA hosted the 4th edition of the Great Sales Debate on 25th October 2024, moderated by Mr. Vivin Pearl Kishore K S from CBRE South Asia Pvt Ltd, on the topic “Social Media: Connecting or Disconnecting?” Ms. Emily D’Souza from the F24 batch was recognized as the best speaker. The debate explored themes such as digital addiction and the “phantom phone” phenomenon, highlighting the psychological impact of social media on relationships. Discussions emphasized that while social media facilitates wide communication, it often leads to shallow interactions lacking emotional depth compared to face-to-face relationships. The event aimed to enhance students’ understanding of marketing concepts and their connection to sales, fostering enthusiasm for marketing as a specialization through industry examples.
