The Operational Excellence Program (OEP) #1, themed “Global Logistics: Trends and Tactics,” is part of an industry-academia lecture series aimed at bridging classroom learning with real-world operational challenges, while enhancing industry readiness and placement prospects. Held on 17th July 2025, the inaugural session featured Dr. V. G. Venkatesh, CSCP, Vice Dean and Professor of Supply Chain Management at EM Normandie Business School, France. Drawing on over two decades of global academic and industry experience, Dr. Venkatesh delivered a compelling talk on current logistics trends, highlighting the transformative role of automation, digitalization, and data-driven decision-making. He emphasized the growing need for agility, innovation, and continuous improvement in supply chain strategies, supported by international case studies. OEP continues to be a vital platform for equipping students with the perspectives and skills essential for thriving in the dynamic world of operations and supply chain management.
