Operational Excellence Program (OEP-3)

The third session of the Operational Excellence series took place on 18^th October 2024, led by Mr. Naveen Kolathur, COO of Driver Logistics. He provided students with an insightful overview of the immense scale of global ocean freight logistics, emphasizing that approximately 16 million containers transport around 11 billion tonnes of cargo every month. A key focus of the session was an in-depth case study on the supply chain of APRIL Company, a subsidiary of the Royal Golden Eagle Group. This case demonstrated the intricate logistics involved in moving goods from Kerinchi to Bhutan using a combination of barge and truck transport vehicles. The session equipped students with a richer understanding of how advanced solutions and careful planning are essential for successful supply chain operations, along with emerging opportunities for entrepreneurs and startups in the logistics and supply chain industry.
