EXPERIENCE IN YEARS TEACHING/PRACTICE/INDUSTRY/RESEARCH : 27 years of teaching / 3.5 years of industry / 18 years of research
Prof.P.Chandiran is Professor of Operations Management and Supply Chain Management at Loyola Institute of Business Administration, Chennai, India. He has about 26 years of experience in teaching, consultancy and research and has published research articles in both international and national journals in the area of Operations and Supply Chain Management. He heads the Centre for Logistics and Supply Chain Management as Chairperson and co-ordinates the One Year Executive Diploma Program in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. He has worked in the Telecom industry for about three and half years after pursuing an MBA at the Department of Management Studies, Madurai Kamaraj University. He has completed his Ph.D. in the area of reverse supply chain from Anna University.
He was involved in international collaboration with ALTIS, Catholic University at Milan, Italy in terms of research and teaching. He is part of MBA (Social Entrepreneurship) program launched in African nations of Kenya and Ghana. He went to Nairobi and Accra to handle Operations Management courses for this program.
Apart from regular academics, he is involved in curriculum revision for Full time PGDM and One year programs, admission process and other general administration works.
