Dr. Ameeta Fernando is an Assistant Professor of Business Analytics at Loyola Institute of Business Management, Chennai. She has been a passionate academician for 20 years now, teaching IT-related courses at other reputed institutions like AIMA, BITS/Wipro, and the NSE. Dr. Ameeta also holds a doctorate in IT and Management from LIBA, with her thesis focussing on Phishing in Indian Banks and the Efficacy of the Countermeasures. She did her master’s in software engineering from BITS, Pilani. Prior to entering academia, she worked at Wipro Technologies in Bangalore and Chennai for almost 6 years, where she was invaluable asset in e-business (Middleware-XML/XSLT) projects. Besides her work, Dr. Ameeta is a ‘Singer for a cause,’ a women empowerment enthusiast and DEI advocate
