Refreshing Old Memories while making New Ones! – 10th & 15th year reunion of Classes 2003 & 2008
“Great memories never fade away, they resurface and warm the soul when least expected.”
Four batches of LIBAites came together on 1st December, 2018 to celebrate their 10th and 15th year reunion. The full-time and part-time batches (F01 & Y) of the class of 2003 and full-time and part-time batches of the class of 2008 (F06 & P05) were back on campus to relive old memories and make new ones. Even before the momentous day grand plans were put in place behind the scenes on different WhatsApp groups where each batch enthusiastically encouraged each other to make time for the get-together.
The memorable evening witnessed a record turn out by the Y and P05 batches while the F01 batch topped the record for connecting the majority batch mates over skype and social media platforms. The formal proceedings began with a Prayer Song, by student alumni club members, followed by the lighting of the lamp and welcome address by LIBA Director – Rev. Fr. Christie. After this a short presentation on the various Alumni events of the year was viewed and two cakes were cut to celebrate the sweet memories that each batch treasured of their time at LIBA. The Alumni were then invited to share their individual special recollections of their student days and unforgettable anecdotes of times spent together on and off campus. Many of them were overwhelmed with joy and delight at seeing their class mates after so many years. The formal program ended with group photos taken capturing the various batches, with many Alumni promising to give back their best support to the Alma mater.
Finally a sumptuous dinner was served to bring the splendid event to a close, but for many who had gathered the celebrations carried on well after they had left campus! And for all who participated a whole new set of cherishable memories have been made for us to fondly remember.
