At LIBA, we are committed towards fostering a culture of academic excellence and innovation. Our dedication to advancing original research and enriching the educational experience is evident in our adoption of a case study-based teaching methodology. Prioritizing ethical and interdisciplinary approaches, we create collaborative research programs, events, and activities spanning all management functions. This synergy ensures the delivery of high-quality teaching, impactful publications, and consultancy services. At the heart of our research ecosystem lies the Research & Publications Office, which plays a pivotal role in establishing research as a core institutional competency. Faculty members are supported through financial assistance, research grants, and academic development initiatives, including research-writing workshops and regular seminars featuring renowned scholars. To recognize and reward excellence, we offer incentives for outstanding publications.
Year 2024 LIBA’s research endeavours resulted with 38 publications indexed in Scopus, 8 in Web of Science, and over 30 in other peer-reviewed international journals and international conference proceedings. Beyond journals, our faculty and scholars contributed by disseminating their research and impactful knowledge through books, chapters in edited volumes, and articles in magazines and newspapers. To enable quality research at LIBA an extensive range of digital resources and research tools are provided to the fraternity which include premier databases like Scopus, Web of Science, JSTOR, and Sage. Further, specialized softwares such as Turnitin, SPSS, AMOS, Refinitiv Eikon, Statista, GaBi, NVIVO, Endnote are subscribed. Furthermore, curated HBR cases and simulation games are integral part of the teaching system to supporting faculty, students, and scholars in their academic and professional journeys. LIBA also fosters a dynamic research community through research seminars, conferences, and workshops that address emerging trends and challenges. Stand out events include the International Conference on Human Resources Management and the Student Ethics Conference, alongside interactive sessions like “Targeting high impact journals for publications,” “a 2-day workshop on thesis writing, Quality Research & publication ethics” and ” Navigating Scopus & WoS – Author workshop”. These initiatives not only enhance research skills but also ensure adherence to high-impact publication standards, thesis quality, and ethical research practices.
PGDM students are integral to LIBA’s research ecosystem. Collaborating with faculty on research projects, students gain hands-on experience in academic writing and develop their ideas into impactful research outputs. Through a 3-Credit academic course in the curriculum students develop a research paper and present their findings at reputed international conferences with full funding assistance from the institute. These opportunities, combined with participation in national-level academic events and competitions, equip students with the skills and knowledge to excel in both academic and professional domains. Through these initiatives, LIBA continues to uphold its mission of advancing knowledge, driving research excellence, and preparing students to make meaningful contributions to the world of management and beyond.
