Wellness session: Exploring the science of Happiness
The Centre for Wellbeing, LIBA, hosted a session titled “Exploring the Science of Happiness” from 18th to 20th November 2024, facilitated by Ms. Anne Carolin and Dr. Anjali Daisy. This aimed to help students understand the psychological, biological, and social factors influencing happiness while offering evidence-based strategies to enhance emotional well-being. Topics covered included the role of positive emotions, character strengths, and relationships in fostering happiness. Key activities such as a gratitude exercise and an appreciation activity encouraged reflection on the positive aspects of life, promoting emotional well-being and stronger social connections. Overall, the session provided valuable insights and tools for cultivating happiness and emotional well-being, emphasizing the importance of gratitude and positive social interactions in creating a fulfilling life.
