Workshop on Case Writing

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of LIBA organized a two-day Workshop on Case Writing on 8^th and 9^th April 2025, to align with the standards set by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and to enhance the use of case studies in teaching for faculty, Research Assistants, Teaching Assistants and Research Scholars. Led by Dr. Janarthanan Balakrishnan, Assistant Professor at NIT Trichy, the workshop focused on the effective use, analysis, and writing of case studies. The key objectives were to understand how case-based teaching supports NBA’s requirements for curriculum development and student learning outcomes, to explore the role of case studies in promoting critical thinking, problem-solving, and real-world application, and to facilitate the development of teaching materials that align with NBA’s emphasis on continuous improvement and innovation in teaching practices.
