Two-Day Workshop on “Leveraging Gen-AI for Teaching and Learning”

The AI Workshop titled “Leveraging Gen-AI for Teaching and Learning” was held on 8th and 9th October 2024, organized by the Centre for Artificial Intelligence (CAI) and attended by 22 participants, including faculty members, educational leaders, and research scholars from 11 academic institutions. Facilitators from Spanda.AI, Mr. Keshava Rangarajan and Dr. Vidhyashankar, provided insights into cutting-edge Gen-AI technologies and their applications in education. Dr. G. Jaculine Priya, Chair for CAI, engaged the participants through practical sessions using Gen-AI tools, focusing on key concepts and interactive activities. The objectives of the event were to enhance understanding of AI in teaching, introduce practical tools, and develop a roadmap for future AI projects. Outcomes included improved confidence in using AI for creating interactive content and increased awareness of ethical considerations such as data privacy and bias.
