Dr. Xavier Britto Annual Endowment Lecture

The Dr. Xavier Britto Endowment Lecture, an annual event was instituted by LIBA to honour Dr. S. Xavier Britto — Chairman, Kerry-Indev Logistics and a Governing Council member of LIBA, for his pioneering contributions to Logistics and Supply Chain Management. This year the third edition was held on 15^th March 2025 beginning with a welcome address by Rev. Fr. C. Joe Arun, SJ, Director – LIBA, followed by the inaugural address by Dr. S. Xavier Britto, who emphasized the critical role of logistics in economic growth and highlighted key government initiatives such as GATI SAKTHI, ULIP, and the National Logistics Policy. The keynote speaker, Mr. Dinakar Malladi, addressed over 500 participants (including industry executives, students, and faculty) on “Global Logistics and Supply Chain: Risks and Mitigation Measures,” discussing risk quantification, supply chain vulnerability, and the role of technologies like IoT and Industry 4.0. As part of the event, the Dr. Xavier Britto Excellence Award for academic excellence in PGP in Logistics (a program conducted by LIBA in collaboration with Kerry Indev) was presented to Mr. Sharen Srinivasaraj of the 2022–23 batch.
