Sustainability Talk Series #1

The inaugural session of the Sustainability Talk Series, was organised by the Centre for Sustainability Excellence on 10th July 2025 at the Dr. S. Xavier Britto Auditorium. MC: Cyril Jonas, outlined the series’ vision of inspiring collective action toward sustainable living. Guest speaker Mr. Deepesh Bhaskar, Founder of Nilayaan, shared his journey from a corporate career to establishing a social enterprise focused on composting and zero-waste practices. His engaging talk combined personal experiences, data-driven insights, and a community-focused model, leaving the audience informed, inspired, and committed to making a positive environmental impact. The first session of the Sustainability Talk Series was not only a learning platform but also a call to individual and collective responsibility in addressing environmental challenges.
