BMI Session 05

The fifth session of the Beyond Management Initiatives (BMI) for the year 2025–26 was delivered by Mr. Rakesh Shankar Ravisankar, CMA, Member of the Internal Auditing and Assurance Standards Board, Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI), on 8th October 2025. Speaking on the topic “Startup Business Finance: A Comprehensive Guide,” Mr. Ravisankar emphasized the key funding options available to startups, including bootstrapping, angel investors, venture capital, and government grants. He highlighted the importance of a long-term perspective for investors, the need for strategic planning, and the evaluation of factors such as team expertise and growth potential. The session also covered the fundraising process, the role of term sheets, the significance of key performance indicators (KPIs), and the necessity of thorough due diligence.
