Amaranthine 2017 “Remonetize India”
The Amaranthine, an inter collegiate symposium conducted every year by the part time PDGM students was an eventful programme this 2017. The programme in its entirety- from its fun filled pre events, to its interactive sessions conducted by reputed speakers and its exclusive management games conducted by students were thoroughly enjoyed by all.
This year Amaranthine focused on the theme “Remonetize India” which revolved around topics of demonetisation and its various aspects. The educative sessions included speakers namely Prof. R Srinivasan, Prof. Omkar Iyer, Mr.Giridhar Raju.
Prof. Srinivasan, who is presently an Associate Professor in the University of Madras highlighted the overall scenario of demonetisation, its objectives and its achievements.
Prof. Iyer, who is an economics professor by profession and is also the Marketing head at MT Educare, enlightened the audience on the trending topic of Digitalization.
The third speaker Mr.Giridhar Raju, is presently the General Manager – HR at Mando Automotive India, an Indo-Korean joint venture. He was previously associated with Hyundai Motor India Limited, Ford India Private Limited and Ashok Leyland – Nissan Joint Ventures. He gave valuable insights on the various Leadership traits that today’s managers need to cope with ever-changing scenarios of business today.
The programme then witnessed a few interactive management games which included Best manager (mock press), Connections (quiz), Adzap and other team building exercises. Students thoroughly enjoyed the programme and anticipate a more eventful programme next year.
