Mother Teresa Award for Corporate Citizen 2024

The Mother Teresa Award for Corporate Citizens 2023-24 was presented on 14^th February 2025 in Dr. Xavier Britto Auditorium, LIBA. Rev. Fr. C. Joe Arun, SJ, Director-LIBA, welcomed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of corporates showing compassion and balancing profit with ethical responsibility. He reflected on the long-standing tradition of the award and acknowledged past awardees. Dr. Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, Hon’ble Minister for Information Technology & Digital Services, Tamil Nadu, highlighted the role of Jesuit institutions in promoting inclusive education and discussed the evolving role of corporate social responsibility (CSR). Ashok Leyland Ltd. was honoured with the Mother Teresa Award for Corporate Citizen 2024 for its groundbreaking eco-friendly initiatives and measurable community upliftment and the special award for Corporate Citizen 2023-24 was conferred on SunTec Business Solutions. Mr. Mahadevan, Jury Member, lauded the Centre for Business Ethics and Corporate Governance and the student jury for their thorough evaluations. The award reflects LIBA’s commitment to “compassion-driven commerce” and its mission to shape students who positively impact society, particularly marginalized communities.
