Inauguration of Radius Club of LIBA 2025 featuring Blood Donation Campaign mandated by AICTE
On 9th October 2025, the Radius Club of LIBA celebrated its 17th anniversary in a significant way by conducting the Blood Donation Campaign 2025, mandated by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The blood donation drive, hosted by HDFC Bank in collaboration with Dr. Kamatchi Memorial Hospitals, Chennai, had 25 donors, including students, faculty, and staff of LIBA. Ms. Maria Priya, Vice President – Retail Operations, HDFC, and Rtn. Dr. Vettrivel, Additional Director, Community Service (Health), Rotary International, were the chief guests at the campaign which highlighted LIBA’s commitment to service and social responsibility. Ms. Priya spoke about HDFC’s expanding blood donation initiatives, which grew from 88 camps in 2007 to over 5,500 camps collecting 3.4 lakh units in 2024, and appreciated the strong partnership with Rotary and LIBA. Rtn. Dr. Vettrivel conveyed Rotary’s commitment to voluntary blood donation, clarified misconceptions about processing charges, and commended the contributions of student Rotaractors. Rotaract President Rtn. Sunder E expressed gratitude for the club’s continued efforts in promoting social responsibility. Each donor received a certificate of appreciation, a gift hamper, and refreshments as a token of gratitude. The collected blood will support lifesaving treatments through the hospital’s blood bank, reinforcing the campaign’s goal of fostering a community of committed donors and future business leaders.
