Awareness Session on Substance Abuse and Mental Wellbeing
The Centre for Wellbeing at LIBA organized a powerful awareness session titled “Choose Life, Choose Future” on 26th June 2025, to mark the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. Attended by around 200 students, the session aimed to sensitize young professionals to the risks of substance abuse and the importance of making informed, healthy life choices. Ms. Jacqueline Allenby David, a seasoned counsellor from TTK Hospital, delivered an engaging talk highlighting the psychological, emotional, and professional consequences of addiction. She emphasized addiction as a treatable condition, offering guidance on identifying warning signs and responding empathetically. The session aligned with LIBA’s commitment to student wellbeing and holistic development.
