BMI Session – 1: An Overview of Industry and Subsystems in Automotive OE

The first Beyond Management Initiative (BMI) session for 2024-25 was held on 1^st August 2024. It was facilitated by Mr. Nagaraju Srirama, President and Director of J.K. Fenner (India) Limited. The topic was “An Overview of Industry and Subsystems in Automotive OE.” Mr. Srirama, who also serves on multiple boards, started with an interactive approach, inviting students to share their expectations. The discussion covered manufacturing sustainability, scalability, innovation, and future trends amidst a government focus on the service sector. He emphasized continuous improvement, the balance between standardization and customization, and the use of dynamic algorithms in inventory management. The objective of the Beyond Management Initiative is to have an ongoing Industry connect and also expose a student to many societal elements which contributes to the holistic and grounded growth and approach towards work and personal life.
