Great Sales Debate #1
The inaugural edition of the Great Sales Debate 2024-2025, hosted by the Markit Club of LIBA in collaboration with the Centre for Sales Excellence (CSE), was held on 19th July 2024 at Dr. Xavier Britto Auditorium, LIBA. “Is the Use of AI in Marketing an Intrusion on Privacy?” was the topic which aimed to foster critical thinking, enhance communication skills, and encourage engagement. The subject provided a rich opportunity for exploring the ethical and practical implications of AI in marketing. Ivan David, Manager of Customer Engagement at Frost and Sullivan, served as the moderator. This debate was the first to feature a gifting sponsor, Kill No Kalorie. Students strengthened their understanding of marketing concepts and their impact on sales, ignited enthusiasm for marketing as a specialization within the F23 batch was expressed by citing industry examples and real-time occurrences, and promoted student participation, enhancing their communication and public speaking skills.
