Inauguration of Student Activities Council (SAC)

The Students Activity Council (SAC) for the academic year 2025–2026 was inaugurated on 8th August at the Dr. S. Xavier Britto Auditorium, LIBA, in the esteemed presence of Chief Guest Dr. T. Prabhushankar, IAS, Managing Director, Metropolitan Corporation, Chennai. Presided over by Rev. Dr. C. Joe Arun, SJ, Director LIBA, the ceremony began with a dignified procession. In his address, Rev. Fr. Director emphasized leadership as a responsibility to uplift others, while Dr. Prabhushankar shared insights from his own journey and introduced the “Eight Cs of Leadership,” urging students to pair academic excellence with ethical values. Prof. B. Aiswarya introduced the newly elected office bearers, who received their badges from the Director and took their oath under the guidance of Dr. Lakshmi Narayanan, Dean-Academics. The elected leaders—Mr. Sailesh Kumar M A (President), Ms. S. Sonali (General Secretary), Mr. S.P. Shankar (Treasurer), Mr. Binu Joel (VP Academics), and Mr. Alan Jose (VP Co-Academics)—pledged to uphold SAC values and serve with integrity. Event concluded with a vibrant performance by INARA, the LIBA Anthem, National Anthem, a photo session and badge distribution in the Inigo Courtyard, where Fr. Director shared his expectations for the year ahead.
