Industry Talk Sessions (1-4) 2024

The Placement Office at LIBA organized the Industry Talk Sessions 2024 to assist students in preparing for placements through interactions with experienced professionals. These sessions provided insights into real-world industry practices and addressed specific queries.

Session 1: was held on 28^th July 2024, with Mr. Akhilesh R. Kumar, Principal Data Scientist at Societe Generale Global Solution Centre and an F09 batch alumnus, addressing 152 students on industry expectations, modern workplace practices, and the importance of staying current with new technologies. He stressed the value of continuous learning and adapting to trends, especially in analytics, and advised students to focus on their long-term career goals.

Session 2: was held on 4^th August 2024, with Mr. Rohit Coelho, Senior Product Manager at ADP and an F15 batch alumnus, addressing 175 students on various roles in product management, the importance of diverse experience, and essential skills in business, organization, technology, analysis, and interpersonal communication. Mr. Coelho also highlighted the need for ongoing learning and adaptability in the rapidly evolving tech industry.

Session 3: was conducted on 11^th August 2024, by Mr. Nirmal A. S, Manager at NLC, who offered insights into the operations and recruitment processes of public sector companies.

Session 4: on 25^th August 2024, by Mr. Pradeep Arul Pragash A, Credit Analyst at Crisil, who spoke to 141 students emphasizing the importance of industry relevance and providing a clear understanding of the placement process, current industry trends, and demands.

These sessions aimed to inform second-year students about industry expectations, recent trends, and strategies for excelling in placement processes.
