LIBA’s Annual Alumni Meet -2019
NOSTALGIA!
“A trip to NOSTALGIA now and then is good for the soul”
The Annual Alumni Meet 2019 was a MEGA event held on 23rd February, Saturday at the OAT on the LIBA campus. There were moments of joy, shouts of excitement and squeals of delight as hearts filled with nostalgic memories of the past. The Annual Alumni Reunion Meet is a time that still connects the current and past batches together at LIBA. It is a time when friends are reunited, batch mates who have lost contact with each other find their connects again and seniors and juniors across batches traverse down the memory lane of their lives at LIBA. The formal programme began with a prayer song by Alumni – Mr. Chellam Devadoss and the student choir followed by the lighting of the lamp by LIBA Director – Fr. Christie, Chairperson – Prof. Dr. Vandana Zachariah, Alumni Committee President – Mr. Muthu Ganesh and Alumni student committee representative of last year – Mr. Jakin Durai.
Fr. Christie was thrilled with the turnout of a large number of Alumni from all batches, right from D batch to the recent F16 batch who had the most number of participants. In his address to the gathering Fr. Christie expressed with emphasis the important role of the Alumni in the progress and rating of an institution. Following this the Alumni Newsletter was released and the cake cut. The highlight of the evening were the individual song performances by Alumni – Mr. Abu Sahabuddin, Mr. Antony Arun Prasad and Mr. Chellam Devados. The quiz and the flash mob dance were the other highlights that rocked the evening. The formal program ended with the vote of thanks proposed by Prof. Dr. Vandana Zachariah and was followed by photo sessions of various batches who then dispersed to have their sumptuous dinner. All in all it was an absolutely Nostalgic, noteworthy and undoubtedly top notch evening affair! For life at LIBA was, is and always will be beyond awesome for the alumni, the present students and the coming students too.
