Great Sales Debate #1
The first edition of the Great Sales Debate (GSD) 2025-26, organized by the Markit Club in collaboration with the Centre for Sales Excellence (CSE) and powered by Mini Cooper, was held on 14th August 2025 at Dr. S. Xavier Britto Auditorium, LIBA. Designed to explore the dynamics of influencer marketing, analyze the role of nano influencers vis-à-vis celebrity endorsements in building brand trust and conversions, foster critical thinking and communication skills, and provide real-world industry insights, the debate revolved around the theme “Nano Influencers, Mega Impact: Should Brands Ditch the Big Names?” Moderated by Mr. Deepak Raj G, Account Executive at Rocketlane and F17 alumnus, the session featured strong arguments on both sides—highlighting the authenticity and engagement of nano influencers against the mass reach and recognition of celebrity endorsements. Mr. Raj concluded by emphasizing the growing importance of hybrid strategies that balance both approaches. The debate ended on a high note, leaving the audience with fresh perspectives on the evolving world of influencer marketing.
