Independence Day 2025
On 15th August 2025, the 79th Independence Day was celebrated at Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA) with pride and reverence. The programme began with the dispositional prayer, followed by a prayer song and Thamizh Thaai Vaazhthu by Concordia. Rev. Fr. Christu Raja, SJ, Associate Director LIBA, delivered the welcome address. He reflected on the strength of the nation and the symbolism of the colours of the tricolour. The flag was then hoisted by Mr. S. Solomon, Senior Electrician, LIBA, followed by the National Anthem. Dr. L. Aravindh Kumaran, Associate Professor, Operations & Supply Chain Management, delivered the Independence Day address. He highlighted the nation’s enduring values of unity, governance, and resilience, spoke about the challenges of the present times, and reminded everyone that independence must be nurtured continuously. The ceremony featured ‘Spirit of Freedom’, a dance performance by INARA, and ‘True Freedom,’ a thought-provoking skit by the F24 and F25 students.
