Wellness Session: Man Care – Hygiene and Health for Life
On 16th August 2025, the Centre for Wellbeing conducted a session for F25 hostel boys on “Man Care – Hygiene and Health for Life”, facilitated by Dr. Gireesh, Neurophysician and Neurosurgeon. Attended by 66 students, the session highlighted the importance of personal hygiene, healthy lifestyle habits, balanced diet, exercise, and adequate rest for both physical and mental well-being. Dr. Gireesh explained how neglecting hygiene and diet can weaken immunity, affect physical strength, and impair brain performance, while also stressing helmet use to prevent head injuries and their long-term impact on memory and learning. Through interactive brain exercises and discussions, he connected daily habits with brain health, motivating students to adopt better hygiene practices and healthy routines for lifelong well-being.
